Phase 1 of Puding Water Resources Center becomes operational, Marking a New Milestone in Taoyuan’s Sewerage Construction
HDEC, a subsidiary of Continental Holdings Corporation (Stock Code: 3703), held a ceremony today announcing Phase 1 of its project, the Puding Area Sewerage System BOT Project, has been completed and has become operational. With a daily sewage processing capacity of 7,500 tons, the new plant will improve sewage discharge problems in the area, helping maintain the water quality of Dahan Creek and setting a new milestone in Taoyuan City’s sewerage construction.
“With economic development progressing at a rapid pace, the demand for domestic and industrial water will continue to rise. How to properly treat sewage has become an important issue for sustainable urban development. In this regard, HDEC has rich experience and expertise in processing different sources of water – be it sewage, wastewater, purified water, or reclaimed water – and will be the best support for local governments to promote water resources management,” said HDEC CEO Jerry Chou.
The Puding Water Resources Center is adjacent to the Dakekan Water Park Project and the Zhongzhuang Retention Basin, with the exterior design in the shape of a kite, echoing the International Kite Festival held locally. Together with a landscaped park built around the site, the Puding Water Resources Center is suitable for environmental education as well as entertainment. The Puding Water Resources Center will service the Daxi-Puding and Yuanshulin areas. And upon completion, the plant will have a daily sewage treatment capacity of 15,000 tons.
