When a landslip near the 3.1-kilometer mark of National Freeway 3 caused a massive landslide a week ago, CHC immediately contacted nearby work sites in northern Taiwan upon receiving emergency notification from the MOTC, and promptly assigned equipment and machinery to the disaster relief and soil excavation and removal effort.

On May 6, MOTC Minister Mao Chi-kuo personally conferred certificates of appreciation to all the units participating in disaster relief and earthmoving work. Construction Division General Manager Jerry Chou attended this conference and received the certificate on behalf of CHC.
