HDEC Awarded Chiayi Wastewater Treatment Plant Project

HDEC, a subsidiary of Continental Holdings Corporation (Stock Code: 3703), has been awarded the Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP) tender for the Chiayi Campus Wastewater Treatment Plant New Construction Project. HDEC won the project with a total value of NT$12.76 billion, fueling HDEC’s revenue growth for the next few years.

The project includes the construction of a wastewater treatment plant with a 15,000-ton daily processing capacity and related facilities designed for future expansion to a 25,000-ton daily processing capacity. The project also includes a three-year period of operation and maintenance. Upon completion, it will serve the industrial park, schools, and related entities by treating their discharged wastewater and promoting sustainable development.

“We are pleased to contribute to Taiwan’s industrial development through our experience and expertise in water treatment,” said HDEC CEO Jerry Chou. “This project will use cutting-edge technology to create a low-pollution, high-efficiency intelligent wastewater treatment system. In addition to using MBBR* to stabilize the operation, a digital intelligent management system will also be introduced to the wastewater treatment plant.”

HDEC now has a total of 11 facilities committed to either wastewater treatment and reclaimed water operations in Taiwan, with 7 wastewater treatment plants and 3 reclaimed water plants in operation. HDEC now has a backlog of approximately NT$70 billion, with first-half revenue hitting a historic high this year.
